Overseer Jessica D. Henson serves as the Senior Pastor of Deliverance Point Church located in Dallas, Texas. Born in Dallas on June 28, 1975, she is the daughter of Nancy Gaines and Archie Ray Drayton. In 1993, she graduated from A. Maceo Smith High School and furthered her education to obtain an Associate of Arts Science Degree. Elder Henson is married to Co-Pastor Jimmy Henson and is a mother of two children, Jahleea Boyd and Chloe Boyd.

In 1996, Elder Henson discerned a calling to the ministry to proclaim the gospel. She underwent spiritual mentoring under the Late Bishop Cardell D. Booker, Sr of God’s Tabernacle of Deliverance (GTOD), where she engaged in various forms of ministry such as praise dance, choir, media/sound, CDB Ministries, and Children’s Church School of GTOD. Her dedication led to her ordination as the 1st Asst—Pastor of GTOD in 2011, and subsequent elevation to the position of Pastor following the passing of Bishop Cardell D. Booker, Sr in 2014.

Following fervent prayer and deliberation, the ministry transitioned into Deliverance Point Church, signifying a new chapter in its journey.  She has also started her own ministry, I Love H.E.R., dedicated to aiding women in cultivating self-love at any stage of their journey, particularly addressing the Hurting Emotional Recovery (H.E.R.) aspect of women. Additionally, Pastor Henson has established a remarkable cosmetic line named J. Desha.
 

Jimmy Henson was born on May 22, 1979 to the proud parents, Jimmy Henson and Brenda Clark. He attended and graduated from South Oak Cliff High School in 1997. While attending high school, he developed a passion for music. He participated in marching band, concert choir, and gospel choir. He was considered what they would call a “church boy”.

On May 26, 1996 he answered God's call and accepted his assignment to preach The Gospel. He served under the leadership of Pastor Benny Finn Sr. at Church on the Rock. He faithfully served in many capacities, including: Choir Director, Youth Minister, Culinary Department, Pastoral Aide, Men’s Department, Praise & Worship Leader, Sunday School Teacher, Brotherhood Auxiliary, Finance Department, Armor Bearer and Facility Manager.

Following God’s divine instruction, in 2007 he transitioned to God’s Tabernacle of Deliverance, where he joined the ministerial staff and served with the Youth School, Adornment Team, Culinary committee, Men’s Department & Choir.

In 2018, God elevated him to the office of Assistant Pastor, a position he felt unworthy to be considered but grateful to answer. While working in his new capacity and role, God gave him a burden for men who have went through some of his similar struggles of depression, sexual addiction, self loathing, body dysmorphia, alcoholism, promiscuity & suicidal thoughts. On November 2, 2024 “Let’s deal with H.I.M.” (hidden issues & mistakes) was launched. He developed a community where men of all ages can have a safe place to express, develop, encourage, and heal. He is truly a proud servant and leader. He  faithfully serves God’s people with love, grace, and compassion.
